Rallycross consists of incredibly fast cars battling it out for first place on mixed gravel and tarmac circuits. It makes for a great spectator sport and the engineering behind the cars is insane. All the cars are limited to 2-litre engines with 45 millimeter turbocharger restrictor plates. This ultimately limits the cars to around 600hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, but that doesn’t stop them from getting from 0-60 in as little as 1.9 seconds. So why are these cars so fast?
