Reader’s Car – 1995 Mitsubishi FTO

Thanks to Keith for sending us through this latest instalment in the “Readers’ Cars” series (feel free to email your car through to admin@garagedreams.net if you’d like it featured).

How good does Keith’s 1995 Mitsubishi FTO GR look in Imperial Red? The combo of white wheels, with what appears to be a light-coloured leather upholstery with FTO on the headrests looks a million bucks … it’s always pleasing to see these modern classics so nicely cared for.

Although the FTO never seemed to catch the same degree of attention as its bigger brother, the GTO, it was still a superb vehicle in its own right (and in some respects has aged better styling-wise). The FTO – if you can find a good one – is still a bargain compared to the GTO as well. In particular, keep an eye out for the models with the 2.0 V6, which is the sort of engine you will simply never see again.

Thanks once again for sending this in. If you’re interested in learning more about the FTO, then you can read our Mitsubishi FTO buyer’s guide here.
