Check Out This Porsche 944 For Sale In NZ

When it comes to Porsches, most people’s attention turns immediately to the 911.

That is the car that Porsche is known and loved for, and the model that most desire.

If you ask someone on the street to name a Porsche car, they are probably going to say 911.

However, Porsche has also made a number of other excellent cars over the years – and because they don’t carry the “911” badge they tend to be a lot more affordable.

From the Porsche Cayenne (which basically saved the company in the financial sense – check out our Porsche Cayenne buyer’s guide here) to the Boxster and beyond, Stuttgart’s finest have produced a number of excellent cars that are all deserving classics in their own right.

The Porsche 944 is a great example of this.

With almost 165,000 units produced between 1982-1991, the Porsche 944 was actually the company’s most successful car in terms of sales (until the introduction of the Boxster).

The 944 is well-regarded as an excellent car to drive, and prices have been climbing rapidly (if you’ve read our Porsche 944 buyer’s guide and model history, then you already would have been aware of this!)

We were lucky enough to recently get the chance to check out this Porsche 944 for sale at Magnum Prestige – a classic car dealership located in Christchurch, New Zealand.

This is a 1991 Porsche 944 S2 with the manual transmission – making it a desirable spec car from the last year of production.

What’s more, this is a one-owner car in excellent, original condition.

The combination of white exterior and blue interior trim is attractive and functional, and the car presents well (especially considering it is 30 years old and has around 160,000km on the clock).
